Battle Royale and Hunger Games

Battle Royale is an individual survival competition: the last surviving player wins. Hunger Games uses the same broad objective but has its own map, preparation period and round limit. Read the opening briefing rather than assuming the timing from one applies to the other.

Your first round

  1. Read the briefing and wait for the announced start before leaving a starting platform or protected area.
  2. Check your supplies and equipment. Use the Weapons Guide for unfamiliar weapons and the Medical Guide for injuries.
  3. Watch area-closure announcements. Move before an area closes instead of waiting until the last moment.
  4. Keep food, water and an escape route in mind. Being well armed does not remove the need to survive the environment.

Area closures and victory

The playable area contracts during the round. Read the named areas and warnings in chat; a position that was safe earlier can become unsafe. Follow the round-end announcement for the result. A time limit can end the round without a winner.

This is not a faction objective. Read any event-specific rules about cooperation before forming an alliance. See the map page and Events Guide for related guidance.
