Start with a knife. Build a society. Make history.
Civilization 13 brings society-building, roleplay, and historical combat into a shared multiplayer world. Grow from the Stone Age to the modern era in Nomads, fight on a historical battlefield, compete with rival corporations, or learn magic at Wizard Boy's academy.
Build, battle, negotiate or cast spells. Explore Civ13's voted modes, event scenarios and the extraction-survival mode in development. Browse all modes and event guidance.
Society & roleplay
Nomads
Begin without a predetermined faction, with a knife and basic clothing. Stay a nomad, create a faction, or join one. Explore, build, research, and form alliances as your society develops.
For players who enjoy building and interacting with others.
Join one of four rival corporations. Plan with your team, negotiate deals and fight for valuable disks while protecting your company's money. Diplomacy, trade and a well-timed betrayal can change the balance.
For players who enjoy modern urban conflict and negotiation.
Enter the Llanboarwart Academy of Magical Education. Assemble your own wand, learn spells, brew potions and duel other students as you rise through the academy's ranks.
For players who enjoy magical mischief and character progression.
Prepare your gear, enter a dangerous district, scavenge and make it to an extraction point. This mode is being built around private safe houses and gear that carries between raids, with a separate Modern Nomads city-survival variant.
Development is ongoing. This is a preview of the mode, rather than an available server or a finished gameplay guide.
Build a settlement through shared work, or take a prisoner or guard role in a prison scenario. Each map sets its own relationships and responsibilities.
Secure food, water and shelter in a hostile environment. Read the briefing: a survival setting does not automatically make other factions your enemies.
